about

Emma Harrison, MA, RP.

Are you struggling to calm your mind? Do you have overwhelming feelings of sadness or hopelessness? Perhaps you are looking to understand how to navigate a mood disorder. Do you want more contentment in your life and relationships? These experiences are common for many of us, and an indicator that we need a safe and supportive space to navigate life and address our concerns.

My approach is warm and down-to-earth, with a focus on understanding the full person and the complex emotions you may be experiencing. I am interested in who you are and what you are going through that has led you to therapy. This approach emphasizes curiosity, acceptance, and resilience, while also providing structured tools and strategies tailored to each person’s unique goals. Whether you are facing stress, mood challenges, family conflict, or navigating major life transitions, I aim to create a supportive and non-judgmental space where growth feels possible. My goal is to help you strengthen your sense of self, deepen your connections, and move toward a life guided by your values.

I have a Masters in Spiritual Care & Psychotherapy from Wilfrid Laurier University. My practice is grounded in evidence-based and client-centered approaches, and I integrate training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Narrative Therapy, and Family Therapy. I have experience working alongside adults, adolescents, and families navigating a variety of issues, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, stress, communication, boundaries, trauma-related issues, gender, sexuality, and grief.
